2025 Inman Park Dance Festival: Free Shows of Georgia Talent

Professional dance performances will again be a part of the Inman Park Festival and Tour of Homes. The Inman Park Dance Festival started in 2001 will present two free performances, one on Saturday, April 26 and one on Sunday, April 27 each at 4:00 pm in the historic Trolley Barn, 963 Edgewood Avenue NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30307. The performances showcase the talents of the Georgia dance companies and performers. This year’s performance will include Ballethnic, Full Radius Dance, The Georgia Ballet, Monica Hogan Danceworks and Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre. Since its inception is 2001, Movement Arts Atlanta's Director, Carolyn Stine McLaughlin, has curated and directed the festival.

Ballethnic joined the dance festival lineup in 2005. This company has an over 30-year history of blending classical ballet with African dance forms. This company’s energetic work will again be accompanied by live music.

Full Radius Dance has been a part of every dance festival since its inception. This outstanding modern dance company, which will celebrate 35 years next season, is a physically integrated modern dance company. This unique perspective on movement includes artists with and without apparent and non-apparent disabilities.

The Georgia Ballet, founded in 1960, has been a part of the dance festival since 2016. Through the years, Georgia Ballet has presented both historic ballet works, some dating from the 1830s, and new works base in classical vocabulary. This company’s dancers are always both generous performers and master technicians.

Monica Hogan Danceworks is a part of the dance festival for the second time in 2025. This athletic company’s work focuses on shared human experience. This year, they will be performing an expert from their full-length work Freefall which explores the impulse of high-sensation seeking.

2025 will be the first time that Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre appears as a part of the dance festival. This company, founded in 2017, has been celebrated for daring and theatrical dance works. They will present a duet entitled Put a Spell on You set to music of the same name by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.

The Inman Park Festival and Tour of homes is Atlanta’s largest all volunteer festival. Begun in the 1970s to bring attention to revitalization efforts, the Inman Park Neighborhood Association primary fundraising event now includes not only a tour of homes but music, an artist market, kids activities, a dance festival, and an infamous parade.
